Luca Sampò is an Italian architect, author and editor of Boundaries.

And also an historian and teacher in History of contemporary architecture, whose interests range from love for the wilderness, to photography, to skiff-sailing.

Luca Sampò

founder of BOUNDARIES

He has obtained a Ph.D. in History of Art, and a Ph.D. in History and Restoration of Architecture, and worked as architect in France at restoration projects of ancient historical monuments. He taught History of contemporary architecture in various Italian universities, lectured in Europe and North America, published articles in leading international journals, organized exhibitions, courses and conferences.

In 2011 he founded «Boundaries» as an international independent journal – free of advertising – focusing on humanitarian, socially committed and sustainable architecture, which pays strong attention to those places where new developments and ideas are arising.

In 2014 Boundaries become a not-for-profit organization, registered in Italy, whose main focus are to foster sustainable architectural intervention for the underprivileged and to disseminate a more socially conscious and committed architectural culture.

Luca Sampò is now editor of Boundaries and he is dedicated to publications and cooperation projects for humanitarian purposes.

Today, in the field of humanitarian, cultural and educational architecture, it is increasingly felt that there is less need for the periodic intervention of politicians and rock-stars, and large donations offered to international relief organizations that end up perishing in the tangle of an over-complicated structure.

Instead, we find an increased awareness of the need for sincere and passionate commitments free from ideology and dogma.

Boundaries, international architecture magazine, is an independent journal particularly focused on sustainable, socially engaged and humanitarian architecture, which pays strong attention to those places where new developments and ideas are arising.

Boundaries is free of advertising, each issue is monographic, and all articles are accompanied by notes and a bibliography for further reading.

Boundaries has no advertising and receives no public funding: its goal and its support are its readers. If you like this project, please, share and recommend it to anyone you think might be interested.

Your continued support is needed so that we can keep expressing ourselves and to inform you liberally.

Sign up to Boundaries, and keep in touch!
